September 26 "Deluge" - the unforgettable day!

What a terrible weekend. My town and other neighboring towns were severely hit by heavy flooding due to the onslaught brought by typhoon "Ondoy". The flood waters rose so fast because three dams near here released their flood waters consecutively. The result was massive flooding. The flood waters inside our house was above-knee deep. Outside, in the main street was like a raging river of waist length flood waters. It was really terrifying. We evacuated to our nearest neighbor who has a second floor apartment. We stayed for overnight there because we can't sleep in our house yet due to the muddy residue left by the flood waters. Don't worry my family and I are now in safe condition and is now slowly recovering from this deluge. We also have enough supply of foods and safe drinking water.

The aftermath scenes of the floods was really heart-breaking to see. There are lots of mud everywhere you look. Lots of fallen debris were scattered around the street. Some of my friends and neighbors we're aren't lucky as we are because they didn't even save a single piece of their clothing (except the ones their wearing) and some appliances. Some even chose to stay above their roofs. The flood waters in some parts of our town rose up to 20 feet high. There were also an unconfirmed number of deaths reported in our town. It feels like I wanted to cry every time I see the aftermath of this tragedy. There were loads of homeless people in the street and I also saw a mother holding her baby boy. They were sitting in a corner of a muddy street, the mother crying. *tears* We were all devastated by this calamity. It was also my first time to experience such a disaster. We only had our electricity supply back last two days ago. *thank God* it's really hard to live in total darkness and we need it to clean up the mess...

Here are some of the images my sister and I took during the height of the flooding using her cellphone camera. The flood water were already at knee-deep and was not raging anymore when we took these shots.

Randomness [1]

Busy, busy, busy...

Well what's up with me? Seems like I've been absent in the blogging world for several days. So sorry about that. I was just a bit busy doing my Moderator job at this Harry Potter forum called Great Hall (GH). Not many of you know that I am also a huge Harry Potter fan since 2001. I have read all the seven book series and seen the six previous movies as well.

Ok, back to me as being a forum Moderator. Some of you might think that it's just an easy job. You just have to move, delete or edit threads and stuffs like that. You're quite wrong there lolz. Because we have this special board feature where each members can earn points by participating in various lessons and challenges prepared by the Mods. The forums is also divided into four wizarding houses. There is Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. This is exactly the same with the stuffs going on in the real Harry Potter novel. This also an additional excitement on the boards. Each newly registered members were sorted randomly to their own designated houses. The points they earned will go directly to the House Cup points system of the boards. And that's where we (Mods) enter the scene and tally all the points accumulated by each members and make sure all the calculations are done accurately. The awarding of the House Cup is done yearly or every first month of the year. I am a Gryffindor Mod (Prefect) and Gryffindor House is my main field of moderation. ^_^

Thank you...
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank "Ate Honeylou" (honfabulous) from the Abs-Cbn Interactive forums for the really big favor she did for me. She sent me this really nice copy of the "Boys Over Flowers Official Photobook" a couple of weeks ago. I already thanked her so many times at the forums and I feel like it wasn't enough. So I am here doing this special thank you post for her. Komamoyo honfabulous noona! I really appreciated it and I am so thankful to have a special "chingu" like you ^_^ Here are some of the screenshot of the photobook I took using a webcam (sorry, the quality of the image wasn't that good >_<)

At last my long-time dream of having a game where all the Final Fantasy characters (both antagonists and protagonists) joins together in one game where they "brawl" against each other in an awesome three dimensional field map has finally fulfilled by this newly released game by one of my favorite game developer - Square-Enix, entitled Dissidia: Final Fantasy for the PSP game console. Woohoo! I was like screaming mad when I first saw this on the net several days ago. For a fan of the Final Fantasy series like me, this is one hell of a game that I shouldn't missed. Although, I still don't own a PSP yet, it is really good to know that Square-Enix never stops creating an awesome game like this one.

+ Do a bit of Charity ^_^ +

I found this website and they get donations from their sponsors based upon the number of clicks they get. There are 6 tabs and a button that says click to give on each of the tabs. We'd be helping the following: Hunger; Breast Cancer; Child Health; Literacy; Rain Forest; and Animal Rescue. I think it could be a good idea. I mean it is only 6 clicks.

Here is the example screenshot: (image clickable)

You can do your six clicks on a daily basis.
It would only take a minute or two of your time. So please give! ^_^

+ Goo Hye-sun’s debut single “Around the Alley” +

Can the cute actress really sing?
Goo Hye-sun (a.k.a. Jan-di from popular drama “Boys Over Flowers“ and one of my favorite Korean actress) was set to release her debut album “Breath” with YG Entertainment on September 4th. The album will consist of eight songs: seven are instrumental and one features singer Gummy’s vocals. Yup, it’s a musical album Goo Hye-Sun’s composed.

A day before the release of the entire album, YG has released the title track to her album. “Around the Alley” is an immenssely sad song and, despite sounding like she’s about to burst into tears, Gummy sings the piece excellently.

New Layout! / G-DRAGON and 2NE1 CD Giveaway!

Ahh, it's the start of a brand new month. Good Heavens, look at it. It's already September - time really fly so fast. It is also the start of the "-ber" months which means Christmas is just around the corner yay! (Haha! Am I too early?) Anyways, since it's the beginning of the month, I decided to change the look and feel of my goody-old-blog. I found this really neat template while surfing around the net and I just thought to play a bit with the codings and tadah here is the finish product. What do you think eh? ^_^ One more thing though. Everytime I tried to add a new menu on the navigation at the left-hand side of my blog page, I always end up getting a "messed-up" layout. And I don't know for some weird reason it's always like that. Maybe there is something wrong with my codings? I don't know, argh! lols. Any tips guys? I'm not really an "expert" on this department.
